Job Description

The Laborer plays a vital role in maintaining the appearance and quality of our properties. As a part of our dedicated maintenance team, you will assist in various tasks, including apartment trash outs, grounds maintenance, and supporting the Maintenance Technicians in their day-to-day responsibilities. You will report to the Maintenance Director and work closely with your team to ensure our properties remain well-maintained and attractive. This is a great role to learn maintenance and handyman skills, and we will train you to grow into a Maintenance Technician!

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete apartment trash outs efficiently.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, including landscaping and outdoor cleaning.
• Support the Maintenance Technicians in their duties, including maintaining tools and equipment.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
• Occasionally assist with minor repair and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Experience:

• Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Frequently lift and/or move from 50 to 100 pounds
• Occasionally lift over 100 pounds, assistance may be provided upon request.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves are required during cleaning, maintenance, grounds maintenance and any other activity which presents a hazardous environment.
• Clothing appropriate for the condition of work environment include, and are not limited to enclosed toe footwear, coveralls, face mask, etc.
